Sunset Wish Foundation

"Today's Wish....Tomorrow's Memory"

Mike is a father of two in his forties from Winston Salem, NC diagnosed with terminal cancer.  His wish was to meet his all time favorite NASCAR driver, Jimmy Spencer.

The Sunset Wish Foundation arranged for Mike and his family to have lunch with Jimmy Spencer at the Speedway Club at Lowe’s Motor Speedway in Charlotte, NC.

Penny is a 35-year-old single mom of two from Elkin, NC diagnosed with terminal cancer.  Her wish was to attend a Kenny Chesney concert with her two daughters and niece, who will become a future guardian of her children.

Penny was given free concert and backstage tickets to see Kenny Chesney in Raleigh, NC.  She was escorted by a luxurious limousine ride and treated to dinner and souvenirs.

Margaret is a 42-year-old single mom of two and a grandmother from Lexington, NC diagnosed with terminal cancer.  Not only is she grieving the loss of her late husband to terminal cancer, she is also caring for her mother in hospice.  In her final months of her battle with cancer, her wish is to take her family on a vacation in St. Augustine, FL.

The Sunset Wish Foundation sent Margaret and her son to a luxury resort in Hammock Beach, FL where she was given spa treatments and escorted to St. Augustine for a day.

Richard is a wonderful son, brother, and father of one from Palm Bay, FL.  This 53 year old has been diagnosed with heart failure.  Being a traditional family man, his final wish is to have presents donated and dinner provided for a final Christmas at home with his wife, daughter, brother, and mother.

His wish came true when the Sunset Wish Foundation sent Christmas gifts for Richard’s family and donated the funds needed for a wonderful dinner together.

Boniface is a genuine man from St. Cloud, MN.  Although he has been diagnosed with cancer, he is not letting it stand in the way of his dream - to take an Amtrak train ride across the beautiful state of Minnesota in which he was born and raised.

The Sunset Wish Foundation surprised him with the trip of a lifetime.  He was given train tickets, gift cards, spending money, and hotel accommodations from St. Cloud to Duluth.

John is a family man in his fifties from Newton, NC.  Since his diagnosis with cancer, he decided that he would like to bring his father with him to see their favorite NCAA basketball team, Duke University, play one last time.

The Sunset Wish Foundation arranged for a limo to pick them up and take them to the Greensboro Coliseum where Duke played in the second round of the NCAA tournament.  They were treated to concessions, souveniers, and an evening of exciting Division I college basketball.
