Hello and welcome to Sunset Wish Foundation. I hope that as you browse our website you will appreciate what we are trying to accomplish and consider joining in to help fulfill the wishes of  adults facing terminal illness.

Being an Oncology nurse for many years, I have had the opportunity and privilege to work with many wonderful patients. They have taught me that some of the most wonderful things in life are often very simple. They are the inspiration for this foundation.

Over the years, patients have ranged in age from late teens to well into their nineties. Many of my patients have been parents in their mid to late twenties or early thirties that have been given the most devastating news of their life. In fact, that their life is going to be much shorter than what they had hoped for. All of a sudden, they are faced with the reality that they are not going to see their children grow up, or be there for many of life’s special events. Patients in their late teens or early twenties have wishes and desires, but have  exceeded the age for other wish foundations. Often patients that are elderly may be perceived as having lived life to it’s fullest. This may not always be the case.

When patients are overwhelmed with mounting medical expenses, they often abandon the thoughts of being able to take a special trip with their family, or create a fun memory with their loved ones. It may be hard to come up with the funds for a vacation or pleasure trip.

This is where Sunset Wish Foundation comes in.  Our goal is to provide this opportunity for these individuals. Each wish is as unique as the person it is being requested for. We will try to make each wish come true. But we can only accomplish this with the generosity of others. We would like to provide you with an opportunity to contribute to a foundation that will benefit terminally ill adults and their loved ones.
